MISSION OF THE DEPARTMENT

The fundamental objective of the department is to develop quality IT professionals by providing concept oriented subject knowledge through high quality teaching, supplemented with practical training. Apart from specialized knowledge and skills,the programmes conducted by the department aim to develop all round personality by including values such as honesty,sincerity,team spirit and work culture.

The department is known for its discipline and commitment for the overall development of students and grooming them towards becoming highly rated software professionals.The meticulous care that the department takes to fine tune the students academic attainments has contributewd to the professional excellence of the students.

The department comprises a set of dedicated faculty members and their tenacious efforts and invaluable suggestions motivate the students in becoming accomplished professionals. Considering the rapid rate of obsolescence in the computer field,the faculty members indulge in refresher course and symposiums conducted by various universities,research institutions.

Industry Intership Programme

The students undertake a mini project during the summer vacation at the end of second semester. During this period, the students work in the industry where they get wxposed to real time situations. The students submit a report on completion of their project for evaluation. In the final semester, students undertake a six month full time industry project. This provides them the opportunity and complete independence to interact with the end users and design the desired system completely. the students are required to submit a report on the work done as a dissrtation and appear for a viva-voce examination conducted by experts from the industry and academic institutions.
