CAMPUS FACILITIES

1. The college has well designed blocks , top laid roads with sprawling lawns and green trees
2. A departmental seminar hall is allocated to each department to have free interaction with students during seminar hours.
3. A fully air-conditioned staff conference hall is provided to conduct official meetings.
4. A mini auditorium is located in the administrative block to conduct symposiums and workshops.
5. A well furnished Canteen is made available for the students and staff to refresh themselves apart from class hours.
6. A common room is allocated separately for boys and girls as rest room and also used as lunch room for day scholars to have their lunch.
7. Medical Facilities are made available for the students during college hours. A medical officer visits twice a week to attend to the ailment of the students.
8. A computerized Indian bank with ATM facility is made available in the campus for the benefit of the staff and students.
9. A photocopying center with STD facility is located within the campus to cater to the needs of the students. Stationeries are also available in this center.
10. Tight Security is provided in the campus throughout the day. Apart from the main security office at the gate, duties are allocated to securities in shift basis for each block
11. A very big auditorium (4000 sq.m) is almost in near completion.

Library
The Central Library has extensive collections of books and is augmented on a continuous basis. The Library subscribes to 100 popular periodicals, national and international journals. A large number of CD-Roms and audio cassettes are available. The college is a member of Anna University library & IIT library to facilitate our members to make use of the facilities & books available with them.

Recreation & Sports
The AIHT pursue excellence in sports .The sports infrastructure comprises separate gym for men & women, indoor sports facilities for table tennis,chess,caromboards etc & outdoor sports facilities for volleyball, basket ball,Kabadi,Cricket etc .AIHT has an impressive record of performance in state & national level sporting events.

Transport
Our college is easily accessible from Adayar, the heart of the city by the state operated transport buses. In addition, the college owns a fleet of twenty buses, one mahindra van, one Tata sumo and these buses operate along various routes starting from different points in Chennai city covering entire Chennai metropolitan as well as suburban areas. Our booming transport facility ensures that our students and our staffs are able to reach college in time with utmost ease. The buses are also provided for field trips, educational tours and industrial visits.
